Here are a few pictures of the October, 2005 Hangar Talk, "Approach to Palwaukee" by PWK Tower controller Lawrence Ridley and crew.

67 aviation enthusiasts showed up on a cool October evening to hear the second presentation by Mr. Ridley at Flight World.
His presentations have been among the most popular we've staged and this one was as involving and informative as ever.
Our thanks go out to him and his co-workers at PWK Tower for a great evening of aviation discussion and education.

Here's Mr. Ridley outlining his points and starting to take questions (of which there were many) from the pilot attendees.
Note the  homemade "map" of the airport on the floor.  This is Mr. Ridley's new teaching aid, and helpful it was, indeed.  In fact, it has drawn such attention that a "real" one is being fabricated for future presentations.

More questions.  More answers.
It seems that controllers' presentations always bring the most intense Q&A periods and for good reason- each wants to see the other's perspective better.

Now for the chalk-talk part of the show.  Mr. Ridley was aided by fellow towermen Joshua Reiter, Gary Walker, and Jason Messina.

Here's the setup for the big finale: Mr. Ridley is setting out the players in a live scenario, with volunteers taking the part of aircraft on and about the field on a busy day.
The taxiways were even blue!

This picture shows four of the eight or nine participants doing their role-playing scenario with taxiing, departing, arriving, and just plain flying-around "aircraft" all over the place.
