Here's a few pictures of the September, 2005 Hangar Talk, "Surviving Inadvertent IMC" by Eric Basile.

Is there a better place to have an aviation seminar than in a hangar surrounded by airplanes?
We didn't think so, either.

A little more than sixty folks joined us for this, the twelfth in our series.  Thanks for coming, one and all!

(We're skipping the pictures of the pizza part at the beginning because the photographer was too busy shoveling.)

Here, Professor Mike Melton, Flight World Instructor, emcees for the start of the program.

Next, FAA Inspector Scott Landorf talks about some of the aviation safety programs the FAA has going on in the DuPage FSDO area.
A big thank you goes out to Scott for taking time to make it to Hangar Talk and for all of his support and hard work for the betterment of general aviation.

Eric gets underway with his talk on surviving inadvertant IMC by discussing the ways pilots get into weather trouble in the first place.
Mr. Basile is an experienced instructor and corporate pilot with a knack for presenting topics like this one in a clear and engaging way.

For the edification of the attendees, Flight World Instructor Jason Unger braves the Chair Of Disorientation, device that can spin the person seated in it into a good case of not knowing left from right.  This demonstrates how pilots deprived of a visual reference point can become disoriented quickly.
